How far in advance do I need to book an appointment?
Please book 3 to 5 days in advance for best availability. This advance booking helps ensure we can accommodate your preferred time and allows proper scheduling for our mobile service. For urgent needs, please call and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Cash, Check, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App for your convenience. Payment is due at the time of service.
What infection control measures do you follow?
All equipment is professionally sanitized using healthcare-grade standards between each client. As a Licensed Medical Assistant, Ray follows strict infection control protocols including proper hand hygiene, and sanitized tools for every appointment. Single-use items are disposed of properly.
Do you bring all the equipment needed?
Yes, absolutely! I bring all professional equipment, tools, products, and supplies needed for your service. This includes scissors, clippers, styling tools, hair products, color supplies, protective capes, and sanitization equipment. You don't need to prepare anything.
How long do appointments typically take?
We never rush - there's always plenty of time for comfortable, quality care at your pace. Each appointment is tailored to your needs and we work at a comfortable speed that suits you.
Can you work around medical equipment and mobility aids?
Absolutely. As a Licensed Medical Assistant, I'm experienced working safely around wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen equipment, hearing aids, and other medical devices. I adapt my techniques and positioning to ensure your comfort and safety while maintaining the quality of service.
What areas do you serve and are there travel fees?
We serve Arlington, North Seattle, Shoreline, West Seattle, Eastside, South Seattle, Federal Way, and Tacoma. There are no travel fees within our service areas - all pricing is transparent and includes travel costs.
What should I expect during my first visit?
I'll arrive with all equipment and begin with a consultation about your preferences and needs. We'll discuss your hair goals, any concerns, and medical considerations. I'll work at your comfort level and pace, explaining each step. The goal is professional results in a relaxed, familiar environment.
Can family members or caregivers be present during services?
Yes, family members and caregivers are welcome to be present during services. This can provide additional comfort and support, especially for clients with dementia or anxiety. I'm comfortable working with families and understand their important role in care.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please call or text as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. We understand that health and circumstances can change quickly for seniors. We'll work with you to find a new time that works. Same-day cancellations are understood and accommodated whenever possible.
